My "Done" Life
It's either undone, overdone or not done. That pretty much describes my days right now! Ugh.

Spice Girl
While Krogering early Saturday morning, I heard a somewhat "Texan" sounding man's voice ask, "Ma'am, do you know where the spices are?" I casually turned around and was unexpectedly caught off guard. I assume I looked like a deer, or should I say an autumn fawn, caught in headlights. After what seemed like minutes, I was able to utter, "Dr. Gaines." Anyway from there it got better, and I was able to successfully direct our pastor to the spice isle--we were actually right in front of that particular isle. It isn't everyday that a "regular" member of Bellevue gets to chat with their pastor, who by the way was wearing shorts, a t-shirt and a baseball cap! I don't think that is weird or anything, but I can't picture our former pastor ever being out in public looking so casual!!

Happy Easter!

"Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." John 20:29
I just love it when Easter is celebrated in April instead of March. The weather is nicer and warmer, and it gives me over a month to enjoy eating pretty, pastel candy!!
A neighbor and I hosted a neighborhood Easter egg hunt a few days ago, and the kids had a blast!

The boys had a fun time coloring eggs. They turned out so bright and beautiful!

Making chocolate birds' nests with friends.
Even Shiloh gets an egg. Hot pink to match her dress!

Spiders

I just got through telling how wonderful spring is. Well, one spring thing I don't like is Wolf Spiders!! They come suddenly one day out of nowhere. I know they aren't poisonous, but they are so ugly. And the fat ones make a mess on the carpet!! Throughout spring and summer I must have a paper towel in hand every time we open the door to go outside. It's like they are just patiently waiting to scurry in! Eew!
There are worse things, though, then Wolf Spiders.
In fact, a few years ago we had a Black Widow infestation in our back yard.
Mark

around in their outside toys, I spotted the deadly spider on the strap of one of their backpacks. You
can imagine my horror! I don't remember seeing any
last year, but it is about time for me to start checking again!
I haven't had much luck with spiders, so I guess that is why I dislike them so much-- Well, except for those really pretty garden spiders that spin beautiful webs. Those are neat. Shortly

This brings back terrible memories!!

9 Months
The day Shiloh turned 9 months old she had a fever all day and felt miserable.
Poor Honey Bun! Baby just didn't feel good.
Daddy took very good care of her. Shiloh loves cuddling with Daddy!
It is so funny when Shiloh puts her "pappy" in backwards.
Shiloh has recently taken her very first step. She is very eager to do everything early!
I love my Honey Bun Girl! The cutest bald-headed baby in the world!
Sweet Scent of Spring

Apart from the inclement weather and miserable allergies, spring is just wonderful!! I have to force myself to keep my gaze on the road instead of on the amazing Azaleas, dazzling Dogwoods, twirling tulips, dancing daffodils, and all of the other beautiful, colorful trees and flowers while driving. This is the season that makes me believe Memphis isn't so bad after all. Watching the earth come alive again lifts my spirits, and that is a very good thing for someone who is prone to sinking into the depths of despair!
