For as long as I can remember, I've loved having a stone assigned to my birth month. Mine is aquamarine, and I'm currently in a loving-all-things-turquoise-and-aqua phase.
May is right around the corner, and 90° temps are in the forecast in my desert land. Both my mom and brother have May birthdays. In fact they were born on the same day! Neat, huh?
When I see emerald, May's beautiful birthstone, I think of England and forests and dragons and all things Middle Earth. It's a color I associate with my love of all things fantasy! I also love to wear this shade of green since I think it goes so well with my skin tone, hair, and eyes.
