A Wrinkle in Time
By Madeleine L’engle
A Book Review by Mullin
Meg Murry hates being different. She isn’t much for school, and the kids are always making fun of her “stupid” baby brother, Charles Wallace. She will soon meet Charles Wallace’s awkward friends, Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which, who will take them and Meg’s new friend, Calvin, on an epic journey through the cosmos in search of their long lost father, a scientist, who disappeared while engaged in secret work. The trio will meet many struggles along the way, such as the Dark Thing and the planet Camazotz. Will Meg succeed in her quest? Will she realize that being different has its strengths?
A Wrinkle in Time is a fun and easy read! If you like sci-fi then you’ll probably like this book. I recommend it to kids 9+.
