Welcome back to the new and improved Literacy Musing Mondays. Last week, I shared about myself, and this week we're proud to introduce our other new host, Leah.
Hi, I'm Leah, a homeschool mom of four children who loves reading and blogging and...did I mention reading? I've been homeschooling for almost fourteen years now, and I'm very close to graduating my oldest daughter! I've been blogging since early in my homeschool days, but my early blog posts were just journals of what was happening in our homeschool- so everybody in the world could see that we built the Great Pyramid with Legos that day. Woohoo!
In more recent years, I've tried to make the blog a place where other homeschool moms can go to find information and encouragement. I still share things we're doing in our homeschooling, but I also try to answer questions that other homeschool moms might have and give free resources that I think other homeschoolers can use. I've also recently published my first eBook all about homeschool lesson planning. I love to create unit studies that I share on the blog, and I've compiled thirty-one of them into a book form.
I'm looking forward to joining with the other hosts to bring your Literacy Musings Mondays linkup each week because reading and literature is my special passion- as a reader myself and as a homeschooling mom. I'm looking forward to reading your great posts and getting to know some of you as we share our posts.
You can visit me on the blog -As We Walk Along the Road- at aswewalkalongtheroad.com. I'd love for you to stop by and say hi!
*Before we get started, I want to mention a few things:
- Check out this great Thanksgiving Scripture Writing Plan I found on Pinterest. I've always loved keeping a journal and writing out Scripture. It especially helps with memorization. Excited to do this for the entire month of November. :)
- If you have young children, I'd love for you to check out my recently published children's eBook, Mysterious Moon! Best read in a calm, quiet voice as you tuck your children into bed. :) It's available on Amazon for only $1.99.
- I created a separate Instagram for my blog, so feel free to follow me on my new blog Instagram account! (https://www.instagram.com/brandiraaeblog/) From now until Monday, I'll be keeping track of new follows. I will draw a name on Monday at 7 pm Arizona time. Winner will receive a little happy in the mail! Thanks so much and good luck.
- Finally, Be sure to check out Mary's series 31 Christian Women Bloggers Who Inspire a Closer Walk with Jesus.
topic every day in October.
What do I hope to accomplish introducing you to these dynamic Christian women bloggers? Even though my focus is on them, the mission of my series is to glorify and honor Jesus, our Savior and to sew together a beautiful tapestry of grace and love. These Christian women bloggers do not seek fame or fortune.
These women are concerned about your walk with Christ and write to help you draw nearer to Him, They offer their words as gifts to others to encourage and uplift, to glorify our Lord and Savior. I hope my series will bless you whether you blog or not.
Many of these women also contributed to the Five Minute Friday Book: A Collection of Stories Written in Five Minutes Flat. I also contributed to this book which features the best writing of Kate Motaung's Five Minute Friday community.
I am so proud about my participation in this book because all profits from the book will be divided equally between two ministries in South Africa: The Vine School in Cape Town, and The Ten Dollar Tribe!

Just link up a post and if you are read the most, we will feature you. Also please make sure you link back to us so others will know about our link up and join in. We try to make it worth your while to linkup with us by promoting your posts across our social media networks. We also pin our most clicked and featured posts to our Pinterest Board each week!
Now, it is time to link up to the Literacy Musing Mondays hop! We are working on a new graphic which indicate the new times for our hop: beginning Mondays at 9 a.m. You will still have until Saturdays at 12 p.m. now to link up! So come back often.
Linkup Rules:
- Include a link back or the blog hop button linked to this hop on your posts.
- Link up the urls to your posts not to your blog.
- Please remember this is a family-friendly linkup. Although we believe in the right for adults to read whatever they want to read, we prefer to read wholesome posts that feature literature that edify and uplift families. We reserve the right to delete any posts that are not family friendly. We love all kinds of literature and genres including family-friendly inspirational romances, fantasy, or science fiction. We do not welcome any posts that feature excessive violence, sexual content, or any cursing. This rule also applies to book review posts that feature books that are not family-friendly. These posts will be deleted without notice to the blogger or explanation. While we believe in the right for all adults to read whatever they want, we feel our linkup is for family-friendly posts only. Thank you for understanding.
- We also want to be loving community by supporting one another. Please make a point to do this this week! Visit the two posts before yours and at least one other blogger's post of your choice! I want to see lots of clicks on everyone's posts. Remember it is also nice to follow them on their social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook.
- Follow your hosts and co-hosts on their social media.
- Tweet about the link up too.
Linking up with great linkups listed on my linkup resource page.
