Pin It Now!
I started reading the book of Proverbs to my children everyday, and in preparation for today, I read chapter 4 yesterday.
Half way in to the proverb it was as if Gandalf had seated himself on the edge of my bed and started reading. In my mind his voice rang crystal clear, "Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evil men........"
For the rest of my quiet time I had the privilege of Scripture being read by my favorite Lord of the Rings character.
Speaking of Gandalf, I cannot wait to see him again in The Hobbit. I hope they use him (Ian Mckellen) anyway. I am a bit disappointed that Peter Jackson will not be directing it. I was hoping he would pick me to be an elf in the production! Guess I will have to keep dreaming.
Edited---Oops ignore the link--it is over a year old. Forgive me for not checking my facts as I was tired and ready to go to bed!

Last I heard and this was the other day is that Peter Jackson WILL be directing The Hobbit. I could be wrong but I was told there differences had been settled. Correct me if i'm wrong, I heard it on the radio I think.
Yeah babe, the story you linked to is over a year old. I think everything's okay now. PJ should at the very least be the executive producer.
According to theonering.net, del Toro will be directing The Hobbit and PJ is still very much involved in the creative process. Fear not, free peoples of Middle Earth!
Sorry for the bad link--my bad--it was 9pm last night and I wanted to go to bed so I didn't even check the date of the article. That is what I get for being hasty. I sould have learned a thing or 2 from Treebeard. I am thrilled beyond words that PJ will in fact be the director. My hopes have been revived--maybe he will read my blog and pick me as an elf. My pointy chin, straight nose and high cheek bones would go quite well with those pointy ears!
You are forgiven. Go and sin no more.
