How did that happen? It just seems that not too long ago in our very own home Thomas, James, and Percy were battling the evil schemes of Diesel 10, Blue was constantly leaving clues, and the Veggie Tales theme song played over and over and over again.
Now, not so much. Well, never actually. The time has flown, and now I have a teenager! I always thought that this was the year for which I'd have to brace myself, but I am looking quite forward to spending my days with a 13-year-old.
Twelve was the year that rocked my world. Had no idea that the hormone monster would strike so soon and take over my son's body including the attitude. Oy! I can't tell you how many times I got the now-who-are-you-and-how-are-we-related? look over the past year. Honestly, I really didn't have a clue that puberty was so hard on a boy - I thought it was just unbearably miserable for girls! Without being even more of a drama queen, I will end the paragraph with this - twelve was by far the most difficult year for my son and me!
Thirteen is going to be great - I think I'm getting my son back, well, except for the man voice.
Proud mama and dad! Getting so tall, too.
Celebrating low-key with a couple of friends this year. Chick-fil-A for dinner and Oreo Delight for dessert. Fun
Happy Birthday to my young man. Love you so much!
