My Two Archers

Pin It Now! I think it is pretty safe to say that the kids (mostly the boys) and I LOVE to study medieval times. I know it's one of MY favorite times in history to study - that and the 1800s. Ooooh, and it just so happens that in our chronological study of history, we are on Volume II The Early Church and the Middle Ages in The Mystery of History - yea! It's Mullin's and my second time to go through this book, and while he's doing it on his own this year, I certainly don't mind reading it again. This time I am reading it out loud to my sweet second grader, Shiloh. :)

What's the perfect complimentary activity to our medieval studies? Archery, of course!! I have always thought it would be fun to learn how to shoot a bow, only this class is just for kids. :(

I couldn't believe it when a homeschool mama friend mentioned that there was an archery class starting up for homeschoolers at a VERY, VERY discounted price. I knew I couldn't pass it up. So every other Friday my boys get to learn how to become master archers with some of their best friends. What a blessing this is for them!

And my boys are such naturals, of course. ;) Maybe one day we can afford our own bow and they can teach me.
