Looking For Fall in All the Wrong Places

Pin It Now! My heart aches to see the beautiful colors of Autumn. My search has been in vain thus far.

Nope, not here. Summer flowers are still in bloom.

Not here either. And this is the tree in our backyard that is supposed to change colors. I guess this happens much later here in the desert.

I found no sign of Fall while out in my backyard. I could have stayed out and gotten a really nice tan, though.

These 4 beautiful, orange pumpkins and rust colored mums adorning our front "porch" are the only visual clues that fall has actually arrived.

At least the temperatures have fallen a little and have given us some relief. It is nice to be able to open the doors and windows in the mornings.

I lived in Arizona my whole life until three and a half years ago. Up until then I had NO IDEA that fall REALLY existed. Being in the southern part of the country robs you just a bit of actual seasons...but in a few months you will be the envy of us all up here...9 months of winter kill all jos of what was a colorful fall a few weeks several months ago! :)

Fall is becoming vaguely visible here. The weather has cooled, but no significant change in the foliage quite yet.

And I just read your play doh post...I still think that play doh is the absolute best smell in the world. And in case you didn't know, you can buy that smell in perfume form: http://www.demeterfragrance.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=1025

So is that the scent you are buying for your girlfriend this Christmas?
I remember tasting play-doh as a kid too!
