Christian Fiction Book List

Books are my TV.

To take a break during the day or to unwind at night, I love traveling back in time by book to when women wore dresses instead of tank tops and characters rode in carriages instead of cars. Curling up with a lighthearted story is the perfect way to end the day and help my busy mind release the cares of the world. It's a nightly routine, actually, and I truly don't know what to do with myself when I run out of books!

I hate to admit it, but in my high school days, I started reading historical romance novels. Secular ones. :( Thankfully, I was still a teenager when I was introduced to my first Christian historical fiction romance novel. I don't even remember how I came across it, but I've never looked back.

The Book That Started It All

Frontier Lady (Lone Star Legacy Book 1) by Judith Pella is the book that forever changed the course of my pleasure reading. Even though I've read it more than once, I haven't read it recently enough to give a personal review. So, here's the excerpt from Amazon:

I own the book above and its sequel, Stoner's Crossing (Lone Star Legacy, No. 2). Even though, I don't have a copy of the third book in the series, Warrior's Song (Lone Star Legacy, Book 3), I'm pretty sure I read it a long time ago. The 3-book set is available on Amazon:

My Personal Favorite

I've liked a lot of the Christian romance books I've read, but this series by L. A. Kelly stands out as one of my favorites:

Though I've read the series twice, it's been a while, so I will turn to Amazon once again for a description of the first book, Tahn.

I remember feeling a little sad when I wanted to learn more about the author and found out that she and her son had died in a car accident. :(
