Food just isn't as fun at 40. Can I get an amen?
A few inconvenient health issues are preventing me from being able to eat like my long-ago 20-something self. While I'm working with a naturopath to get my health back on track, I'm also experimenting with some changes on my own. For instance: I'm trying to cut back on dairy when I can. Hence this non-dairy smoothie. :)
It's surprisingly delicious and very simple, so I thought I would share.
Non-dairy Banana-Mango Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 8 oz. Unsweetened vanilla coconut milk (or coconut milk of your choice)
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 mango ( I used yellow)
- sprinkle of cinnamon, optional
Directions:
Put all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend on high until nice and smooth. Pour into a fun glass and enjoy! The blender I use is very similar to the one below. Mine is just an older model, I believe. I love the way it makes the perfect smoothie. The cheap blenders I used to own never worked quite right. This post may be linked up to one or more of these fabulous link-ups.
